Jesus is the heart of everything we believe. We believe He is the Son of God — fully God and fully human — who stepped into our world about 2,000 years ago out of love for us. He lived a perfect life, showing us what God is really like: full of grace, forgiveness, and compassion. He taught about love and the Kingdom of God, and then willingly went to the cross to take on Himself the weight of our sin. Three days later, He rose from the dead — and that resurrection is the foundation of our faith and the source of a hope that nothing can take away.

The Bible is God's story, and our guide for life. Made up of 66 books written across thousands of years by many different hands, we believe it's the inspired Word of God — a place to meet Him, understand His heart, and find meaning, truth, and direction. It comes in two parts: the Old Testament, which points forward to Jesus, and the New Testament, which tells of His life and the early church. However you come to it — curious, searching, or just starting out — there's something in it for you.

That's such a good question to be asking — and you're in good company. Faith isn't about having everything figured out or switching off your mind. It really begins with something simpler: the hope that there's a God who made you, who knows you completely, and who loves you more deeply than you can imagine. We believe Jesus came to show us exactly what that love looks like — and that through His death and resurrection, the door is open for anyone to come home to God, to be forgiven, and to find a hope that holds, no matter what life brings. You don't need to have it all sorted to take a first step. Some of the richest faith grows slowly, through honest questions and real conversations. Not even close — and that's the good news. Church isn't for people who have it all together; it's for people who know they don't. We're not perfect, but we belong to a perfect Father who has welcomed us as His children. We all fall short, and that's exactly why we need Jesus. Whether you're new to faith, full of questions, or finding your way back after a long time away, there's a place for you here, just as you are.

Because we were never meant to do life alone. Church is where we connect with God and with others walking the same road — gathering to worship, to learn from the Bible, to share Communion together each week, to pray, and to carry one another through whatever life brings. It's not about religion for its own sake. It's about family, growth, and being part of something far bigger than ourselves. And because we come from many nations and walks of life, there's a real richness in belonging here together.

Prayer is simply talking with God — honestly, from the heart, in your own words. There's no special formula and no wrong way to start. You can thank Him, ask for help, pour out your worries, or just sit quietly in His presence. When His disciples asked, Jesus gave them a simple model we call the Lord's Prayer (you'll find it in Matthew 6:9–13). If prayer is new to you, start small and start where you are — He hears every word, and He's never too busy for you.

Taking the next step starts with trusting that Jesus is Lord, that He died for you and rose again, and turning toward Him with an open heart — letting go of the old and saying yes to a new life with Him. The Bible calls this being "born again." That new beginning is celebrated through baptism — being fully immersed in water, picturing Jesus' own death, burial, and resurrection, just as the early church practised it.
